Kalou Rimpoche was one of the greatest contemporary Tibetan Masters. He died in exile in his temple in Darjeeling, India, in 1989, where his mummified body is exposed. The child who is his reincarnation now lives in this temple. This film shows the Child Lama’s induction at the age of two and continues with his visit to France at the age of four and particulary to the monastery of Kagyu Ling.

For the many Western disciples, this religion is primarily a philosophy governing every aspect of living. Eyes-witnesses recount their experiences and explain Tibetan traditions of education and spirituality. This film allows us to share the daily life of Kalou Rimpoche, the Lama Child an amazing mixture of religious traditions and modernism. A confrontation between Tibetan and Western culture.
